Bill Garwood

William R. Garwood is a working journalist and public relations expert with over 30 years in the “writing business.” A staff writer in the Book Review section for one of Detroit’s prestigious daily newspapers, he has always maintained a deep and abiding interest in the American West since his days as a child in New Mexico. He has thoroughly investigated both the Earps and the Clantons, and the shadowy John Ringo and offers a unique reconstruction of the events leading up to the bloody OK Corral murders—and the subsequent banishment of the Earps from Arizona Territory. Garwood was one of the earliest members of the National Association and Center For Outlaw and Lawman History at Utah State University. He is also a member of The Sons of the American Revolution, and The Detroit Press Club. He is currently developing other factual westerns that include the lives and times of Harvey Logan (Kid Curry of the Wild Bunch), as well as The Bad Man From Bitter Creek.
