Gwyneth Atlee
Gwyneth learned her craft by reading and writing in nearly every genre imaginable, from science fiction to fantasy to children's ghost stories, but her first paid publications were nonfiction articles for educational magazines. Over a period of several years, she went from placing in to winning manuscript competitions in many fiction contests, including those of the Rice University and Houston Writers' Conferences. A contact made as a result of one of these awards led her to her current agent and contracts with Kensington's Zebra Books to publish her first and second historical romance novels. TOUCHED BY FIRE, set during the Great Peshtigo Fire of 1871 was published in May of 1999. NIGHT WINDS, which takes place during a catastrophic Texas hurricane of 1875, came out in July of 2000. Other books that followed include TRUST TO CHANCE (December 2001), INNOCENT DECEPTIONS (July 2002), CANYON SONG (June 2004) and AGAINST THE ODDS (July 2004). While continuing to indulge her reading habit, she is happily working on further historical romances.
